Views and Questionnaires
Your views are very important to us. We’re always keen to hear your questions, comments or concerns.
Speak with the class teacher
Parents evenings are held twice a year, once in the first half of the Autumn term and again in the Spring. We encourage parents of all of our pupils to attend these consultation meetings so that you can help support your child with their learning. On most occasions, it is possible to speak to staff at the beginning or end of the school day for a few minutes if you have any concerns or a longer appointment can be made which is convenient to both staff and parent.
Speak to the Head Teacher
As well as speaking with the class teacher, Miss McCann will always aim to speak with parents as soon as possible if you have any concerns regarding your child. All information received will be treated appropriately and with sensitivity – your feedback helps to assist the school to continue to improve.
Put your views in writing
In Summer term we send out a short parents / carers survey and we value your honesty in responses.
If you have feedback for us during the year and you don’t want to wait until the Summer Survey, you can always email school via the website.
Parent view gives you the opportunity to tell Ofsted what you think about St Alphonsus’ RC Primary School. It asks for your opinion on 12 aspects of school, from the quality of teaching to dealing with bullying and behaviour. Ofsted uses the information you provide when making decisions about which schools to inspect, and when. By sharing your views you will be helping us to improve.
At the Parent View website you will also see what other parents have said about St Alphonsus’ School (you can also see the results for any other school in England).
Your questions, comments or concerns are often answered in our communications. Every month parents / carers receive a newsletter. This will usually give parents an overview of school-wide news and issues. This is in addition to occasional letters which are sent home whenever there is important news.
