As part of sports week we had a guest speaker this morning. Thank you to Vinny Dawson for sharing his Karate experience and success with us in assembly. We loved trying out some Karate kit!
A group of pupils from KS2 have enjoyed attending Globe Trotting club this half term. We have discussed and researched about different countries, cultures, basic needs and advertising. We also went on a trip to Morrisons and have tried food from different countries.
Year 1 had a fantastic day out at Danby! We learnt about the Woodlings that live in Crow wood and we saw some of their houses! We collected things from the wood to use to make our own Woodling characters. We even met the Wish Dragon and told him our secret wishes!
Year 1 and Year 2 presented their palm Sunday liturgy to the school today. We shared the gospel and acted out the arrival of Jesus in Jerusalem. The children also waved palm leaves which they had made and shouted “Hosanna! Hosanna! Praise to the King!”

Year 5 had a fantastic time investigating the different phases of the moon and then constructing their own chart out of Oreo biscuits. We found it challenging…and tasty!
Some of Year 2 cooked Fajitas today as part of their Mexico topic. Tomorrow, we are going to write instructions for how we made them.
Year 1 really enjoyed their trip to the Fire Station today. We learnt about all of the equipment they use, sat in the fire engine and even got to use the hose! Mrs Rogers got dressed up too! More photos too follow……
Some children in Year 2 had a busy day today. We made a Halloween acrostic poem in English, completed a werewolf colour by numbers in maths and tried very hard in P.E. We also decorated pumpkins!
